Regional Projects Officer

About Us

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is an independent charity dedicated to breaking the link between family income and educational achievement.

We do this by supporting schools, colleges, and nurseries to improve teaching and learning through better use of evidence. We generate research evidence on effective practice in supporting learning outcomes and narrowing the socioeconomic attainment gap, and we work with education professionals to ensure this evidence is applied to achieve the maximum possible benefit for children and young people.

The EEF’s reach and impact have been tremendous: the English education system is now one of the most evidence-informed in the world. Over half of state primary and secondary schools have taken part in an EEF-funded trial, and 70% of all school leaders use the Teaching and Learning Toolkit to inform their decision-making.

We are now looking for a Regional Projects Officer to join us on a full-time, fixed-term contract until August 2027.

The Benefits

- Salary of £34,600
- Flexible working opportunities
- 27 days’ holiday a year (plus 8 bank holidays, including 3 which can be taken flexibly)
- 2 festive season closure days
- 6% employer pension contributions, minimum 3% employee contribution
- Life insurance cover
- Interest-free season ticket loan and cycle scheme
- Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave pay (conditions apply)
- Confidential Employee Assistance Programme

The Role

As a Regional Projects Officer, you will support the delivery of our Research Schools Network and Evidence Partnership for 16-19.

Working across these networks, you will help turn research into practice, bringing schools and colleges together to improve outcomes for disadvantaged learners.

You will work closely with Regional Leads and Programme Managers to co-ordinate activity, ensuring effective support is in place and that programmes run smoothly. Overseeing planning and monitoring for projects, you will support governance processes, co-ordinate events and training, and gather feedback and data to inform delivery.

Additionally, you will:

- Support communication and information sharing across the networks
- Provide administrative, logistical and project support to Regional Leads
- Respond to queries relating to the networks and their activity
- Keep up to date with developments across the regions

About You

To be considered as a Regional Projects Officer, you will need:

- An understanding of the school and/or 16-19 education landscape in England, including range of provision, setting types and the needs of setting leaders and practitioners
- Strong advocacy for equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring these principles are upheld in all aspects of their work
- Good IT literacy, especially with MS Excel and MS Word
- An ability to work effectively both independently and in a hybrid team (part home-based, part office-based)
- A willingness to travel regularly and occasionally stay overnight

All EEF staff are subject to a Basic level check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The closing date for this role is the 17th May 2026.
